Tetelesti Hospice is a 24‑hour disability care center based in Ficksburg, serving individuals with both mental and physical disabilities. Since opening its doors in 2015, Tetelesti has become a sanctuary of compassion — a place where people are supported, strengthened, and gently guided toward living fuller, more independent lives.
Their work goes far beyond care. Tetelesti Hospice walks alongside each person as they learn to cope with new disabilities, adapt to daily challenges, and rediscover their place in the community. Many residents arrive in moments of deep vulnerability, and through patient support, structured rehabilitation, and heartfelt encouragement, they grow into confident individuals able to reintegrate into society.
Tetelesti carries a proud legacy of success stories — individuals who came seeking help and left with renewed purpose, resilience, and the ability to live independently again. Their mission is simple yet profound: to make a meaningful difference in every life entrusted to their care.
When he first arrived at Tetelesti Hospice, he was critically ill, bedridden, and entirely dependent on round-the-clock personal care. In a moment of deep vulnerability, his journey toward healing felt distant and uncertain.
Through patient care, daily physical encouragement, and the heartfelt support of our dedicated team, a remarkable transformation began. Step by step, his health and vitality returned.
Today, he is fully recovered and thriving! Beyond regaining his independence, he has rediscovered a deep sense of purpose—you can now find him outdoors every day, joyfully helping tend to our hospice garden. His story from being confined to a bed to actively nurturing new life in the garden is a powerful testament to what love, dignity, and proper care can achieve
